MUSC College of Nursing Summer Scholars Program

Overview & Highlights

• 6-week hybrid program, with in-person and virtual sessions on professional development, foundations of scholarship and research, and the structural and social determinants of health and health disparities. 
• 1-on-1 mentorship with a College of Nursing faculty member. Mentors involve students in their research and help make connections with other individuals across campus for mentees based on their interests. 
• Stipends provided (housing not included).

Eligibility

• Participants accepted and enrolled in the program must be: 1) U.S. citizens; 2) undergraduate students at any college or university pursuing any major; 3) interested in pursuing a career in the health sciences.
• ANYONE meeting criteria may apply, with prioritization of applicants from historically excluded underrepresented groups.
• Participants are required to commit to complete the six-week program.
