Medical University Women's Club Scholarship

The Medical University Women’s Club (MUWC) offers annual scholarships to deserving MUSC students from the six MUSC colleges. All full-time students in their second or subsequent years from any of the six MUSC colleges are eligible and encouraged to apply.

Additional Scholarship Information

Small scholarships are generously given by the College’s Alumni Association; students should check with their own professional organizations for funding opportunities. Depending on funding, federal loan forgiveness programs are sometimes available for full-time (9 credits in fall/spring, 7 credits in summer) students who teach in schools of nursing upon receipt of their degree. Small awards are available to support dissertation research through the College of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International chapters, and through the American Nurses Foundation Awards given through the regional research organizations (SNRS, ENRS, MNRS, WIN).

External Nursing Program Scholarships

External scholarships are awards that require a separate application process. Generally, the organization offering the scholarship notifies the College of Nursing of their award and the application process. Many of these awards require that the applicant submit a personal statement, academic transcripts, and letters of recommendation. Students are notified of these scholarship opportunities through campus e-mail.
