The Diane Angelini Lectureship in Interprofessional Education and Collaboration

Currently a clinical professor and writing consultant at MUSC College of Nursing, Diane J. Angelini, EdD, CNM, FACNM, FAAN is the perinatal editor emeritus for the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing. She is also founding nurse midwife in the Department of OB-GYN at Women and Infants’ Hospital/Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she retired in 2014 as the academic midwifery division director.

To honor Angelini’s 24 years of midwifery leadership and education, the Diane Angelini Lectureship in Interprofessional Education and Collaboration (IPEC) was established as part of Women and Infants’ Hospital and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University/Department of OB-GYN. To date, the event has brought in nationally and internationally renowned lecturers from various backgrounds of midwifery, nursing and obstetric medicine to full capacity audiences during the Grand Rounds Lectureship.

This month marked the 9th year for the lectureship, which featured Rose Horton, MSN, RNC-OB, NEA-BC, FAAN, the president-elect of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) as the guest speaker.
