Katherine Chike-Harris, Ph.D., DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC, FNP-BC, CNE, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Chike-Harris is dual certified as a pediatric (PNP) and family (FNP) nurse practitioner. She is an alumnus of the MUSC College of Nursing, earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007, Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in pediatrics in 2009, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2011. Dr. Chike-Harris earned her post-master's certificate as an FNP at University of Massachusetts - Boston in 2021. Since graduating with her PNP, Dr. Chike-Harris has worked in the pediatric primary care setting serving the rural population, initially through a local Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) but now through the school-based telehealth (SBTH) clinic setting with the MUSC Center for Telehealth, which has allowed her to expand her primary care services outside the Lowcountry.
Dr. Chike-Harris has taught at MUSC’s College of Nursing within the DNP program as an adjunct faculty since 2015 but accepted a full-time position in 2017. Dr. Chike-Harris has led the effort in integrating telehealth within the nursing curriculum. Clinical interests include telehealth education (students/providers) and integration.
