Presentation: Building Trauma-informed Systems in Latin America and the Caribbean: 10 Years of TF-CBT Outcomes and Lessons Learned

Synopsis: This presentation examines a decade of implementing Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) with children and families in Puerto Rico and El Salvador. Three community-based projects illustrate treatment outcomes and practical lessons for expanding access to evidence-based trauma care in settings with limited resources. Topics include cultural and linguistic adaptation, community partnerships, caregiver engagement, and sustained support for clinicians and agencies. Findings and study limitations will inform discussion of strategies relevant to clinical practice and workforce development.

This will be a virtual event.
