Message from Director

The Accelerated BSN (ABSN) program is an exciting, fast paced 16-month plan of study that marks the beginning of a fulfilling career in nursing. The carefully designed curriculum embodies our mission by unifying education, research and clinical practice.

The ABSN faculty are expert educators and focus their efforts on student success. Our high retention, graduation and NCLEX-RN pass rates are evidence of the dedication to student learning. The program includes a focus on nursing research where students acquire the beginning skills to search for the evidence upon which to base their practice of nursing. The program includes more than 850 hours devoted to clinical practice. This time is spent in the skill and health assessment labs, our state of the art simulation center, area hospitals and community settings across the Lowcountry.

Our graduates are successful nurses and demonstrate commitment to College of Nursing values, particularly that of lifelong learning. The ABSN students often continue their graduate education right here in the College! We welcome you to a stimulating learning experience, where you will be enriched and educated in an interprofessional environment.
